Shanahan mayhem

With her son coaching along the Texans sideline who Mrs. Shanahan going to root for? Enough already! I'm sick of this stupid NFL family story, but the pregame dudes apparently can't get enough of it... and did you know Kubiak use to coach under Mike Shanahan?

Anyhoo, bring it on Houston Hicks!

Riggins, KTH demands a full report.

This website might be a little biased towards Kubiak's special teams play.

When do pitchers and catchers report?

This is fucking weak. Time to clean house Bowlen. Once again, we're totally out-coached. When your best move is a timeout when the place kicker is about to kick, you're done.

I think this team will be good in a couple of years, but there needs to be a regime change.

How about my Avalanche? Nice bounce-back win against the Arnolds.

Report from Reliant...
Special teams still sucks
Defense doesn't tackle
Only players still worth keeping are Cutler, Scheffler, Marshall and a couple other youngins
Bitter, Bitter, Bitter!!!

Shame on the Broncos for not allowing the Hulkster to be released to all of those little Hulkamaniacs......go browns.

Outcoached

Outplayed

Fitting game... the things that have plagued us all year once again were a deciding factor. Poor play calling, poor execution, poor special teams, but above all else... we lost the battle in the trenches. We couldn't keep their defense out of Cutlers grill... 5 sacks...and we gave Sage Rosenfelds so much time in the pocket that he looked like Joe Montana.

The future is bright at the skill positions, but not very bright on the line... and on the sideline.

Maybe we should change this blog to "Kubiak to coach"... and begin a grassroots movement to bring him back to Denver as the head coach.

A fine idea, Capt, but I think that ship has sailed. I believe I was all for that very move a few years back.

I agree with Troutdog... and while I have always been a Shanny supporter I'm now calling for a regime change as well.

We struggle in the red zone
We are very inconsistent... don't know which team will show up
We are underachieving with the talent that we have
Guys don't seem to be playing with a ton of fire in the belly (with a few exceptions like Cutler/Marshall/Sheffler/Young)
We let Devin Hester beat us... when we could have taken him out of the game with special teams strategy
We don't tackle well
We don't execute well, too many turnovers
We have way too many penalties
We played for OT in the Green Bay game.. instead of going for the juglar

That is coaching to me... all coaching.

I agree. A major part of this disappointing season seems to have been coaching but I'm not ready to get rid of Shanny yet! If we end up 6-10 this season and don't turn things around next season with the skill players we have in place then I am all for it. We are young and have dealt with a lot of injuries along with some off field distractions. The thing that has made this season so difficult has been the inconsistency from game to game, half to half, and even quarter to quarter!!!

Unless Bowlen reads KTH (a very distinct possibilty - obviously it worked for Hurdle), it's very unlikely he will ever consider firing Shanny. And that's part of the problem. It seems that Shanny has a free pass to coach the Broncos as long as HE wants to. I very fucked up arrangement. I hope I'm wrong about that to a degree, but that's seems to be the concensus. I say the Broncos hire Bob Hartley as coach.

The Denver sports scene has grown ominously quiet...but the Bay Area rolls on.

49ers win! Shaun Hill is the future!

Sharks win! Niedermayer returns, Dean Wormer approves.

Warriors win! But they let the Pau-less Grizz score 117 on 'em; Nellie Ball, you so crazy.

Yeah, troutdog leaves town for a couple of days and the blogging grinds to a halt. All I've been able to gather is that the Nuggs have been losing, but are still in first place and the Avs have been winning and are playing teetertotter with the Canucks and Wild atop the Northwest. Strangely enough, there wasn't much coverage of the Avs and Nuggs in NYC.

Oh, and the Rox pick up Luis Vizcaiano. Probably not a bad pick up, but with the DBacks taking Haren from the A's, the West is looking like a beast already for '08. The Rockies minus Kaz may be in trouble.

Yes!

There is life in KTH!

Agreed with TD on the free agency moves in the West... everyone else is loading up and the division isn't getting any easier. That said, I didn't think the Rockies needed to make many moves... but Kip Wells isn't exactly keeping up with the Joneses.

Saw that Sauerbrun was KICKED to the curb... I thought he should have lost his job after the Bears game.

Don't sleep on my DU Pioneers... playing great hockey... have another chance at winning the National Championship.

I think I'm due to finally post my "Meat Puppets 'huevos' is the Meat Puppets record that sounds the most like ZZ-Top" post.

Yeah Pio's! Ranking at #3.

Maybe my meat puppets blog will be about how the album "No Joke" is most likely to be spotted in dollar bins across the country.
