Although I'm sure most of my rantings willl be about the misfortunes of the Rockies, it's nice to see them wup up on the Mets for the 2nd straight night; especially after that kickass roadtrip. This blog setup will probably need a bit of a facelift; I'll see if I can screw with the html code. If not we might need to have a different provider.
Are there suggestions for better names (other than denvertakes) ?

i sure hope there's a lot of Das Boot commentary...or at least a lot of Rockies games like tonight to gloat about....straight nice comfy ass-kicking of the Metropolitans.
I guess you start a blog to provide a good venting outlet for a thus frustrating baseball season and the team suddenly turns into a juggernaut. Hawpe has quietly raised his average close to .300. Atkins is hitting. Fuentes isn't allowed to blow game at the moment. A series win against the Phils means a .500 record at the allstar break. The sad thing is that the NL West leaders sport camo uniforms. How embarrasing.
bottom of the 8th
goddam Joe Table.
if this was last year he would have allowed Holliday to give the Rox the lead. stoopid dubble play by matto.
Sammy - I was thinking the same thing in the bottom of the 8th. Now I'm thinking Brad Hawpe really is clutch and C-Sull is pretty great off the bench, Helton plays sweet D and Francis had a horrible game but we still won, and I love Yorvit in spite of that nonsense about pointing to sky evertime he gets a hit, and Holliday had a kind of crappy night but the rest of the team picked up the slack, and the bullpen was money, yes. And fuck Ryan Howard (actually I have nothing against Ryan Howard.) Ain't it nice to win a tight game and never have to see Fuentes?
