You Will Respect My Shutout

I'm not really qualified to ramble too much about this game, as I was unable to watch all but a smidge of it. But, 3 straight road wins, Theo's first shutout since 2004, and TWO power play goals are all very noteworthy. What started out as a disaster of a roadtrip has become a decent success, thanks to collecting the last 6 points that were on the table. Maybe more importantly, this team may have rediscovered its scoring touch and confidence without its two offensive veteran stars in the lineup. Sonic Tooth and I will be in the Can Fri night for the matchup with the B-Hawks and will try to help keep the team's mojo going. I suspect our main contribution will consist of drinking stadium brews in the 350. You're welcome, Avs.....

No comment on the pitiful Nuggets performances the last two nights. If they don't make the playoffs (which seems quite possible right now), that would be a large embarrassment. Maybe their minds are on Nene. Wake up fellas.

Awesome game indeed. They've looked like a completely different squad the past two games (probably 3, but I didn't catch much of that game).

All it really took is some negative KTH banter... Hey, it seemed to work for the Rox just fine.

Unwar the performance of the Nugs versus marginal Eastern Conference opponenets (I would like to hear Young Bear's take on the recent poor Nugs play, but I think he's mad at us).

What, no duplicate post from ST????

I totally agree it was all of the griping from the KTH peanut gallery that righted the Avs ship.

We need you Young Bear!

...i was close to sitting down at the keyboard after the nice victory. had to take the surly avatar out for a long walk though...and then have a glass of wine...and then go to bed...

6 points in 3 games is mighty nice. too bad they weren't against all NW division teams, but can't complain. nice to see the rest of the division stumble last night anyways.

Hope the good run continues Friday night. I haven't exactly been a lucky rabbit's foot for the team when I've been in attendance this season.

Not a good luck charm? Well, lets change that. Let me buy you a heinekin, errrrrr Coors Light.

Glad you mentioned the recent woes of the NW division, ST. As of now, the Avs are incredibly only one point back of the Wild and Canucks for first place and moved ahead of the Flames by a point in the 3rd place spot. 2 points separte 1st from 4th place. This is anyone's division to win and there is a lot of season to go. Here's to a good home stand.

So now Stastny is out 2-3 weeks with a ripped appendix? Great.....

Been a year of medical woes for the Avs. It would be miraculous to come out of this shit a month from now in any form of playoff contention. Maybe they should try and sign Forsberg so he can get hurt too.

I'm not at all against bringing back foppa. To see him and joe on the ice together one more time would be pretty awesome.

Then they could both break kneecaps on the same shift.

What is Valerie Kamensky doing these days?
