SUPER JOE! SUPER AVS!

Holy Shit...that game was a doozy. Besides offering up the 1 point to the Oilers it had it all. Lead changes, lots o' goals, and division rivals scrappin'.

What about the heroics from the GOD DAMN most clutch hockey player in this NHL era? There could be some stats that prove me wrong on that point, but I don't know and don't care for hockey stats, all I know is sitting in my chair or in the stands over the years watching Avs games since the move to CO, I have seen nothing but hope spring when the dude is on the ice. Look at his goal totals during this injury-fucked season, there ain't many...however, a large majority of those goals were crucial. Joe is the obvious hero, but props to Brunette too, he's been a huge part of this late season run of success.
Tonight was exhilirating hockey. Glad to know TD, Mrs. ST, and Sumo were kickin' it in the Can for the spectacle. Our nation's indifference towards hockey needs more games like that to sway the non-believers to the good-side. whoo-wee.

Lappy felt like bringing it tonight...

I can barely, type, what, with my left hand the size of a grapefruit, but that was one of the best games I've ever been to. Super Joe comes through. I do believe I uttered the words, "Sakic is due" midway through the game. Can't forget about Theo's un-fucking-believable save before the first PP goal by the Oilers. That might have been the best glove save I've ever witnessed first hand.

With the 2 points, I think we have to stop worrying about Edmonton, and set our sights on the 6th spot.....Footer, it's time to leave the penalty box.

GMC Rocks!

Yeah...Theo's save was #1 on tonight's ESPN top 10 highlight rundown, for whatever that's worth. 'twas a shame he had to give up the quick power play goal to negate the intense drug-like high the save had generated in me. not that I'd know what intense drug highs are like.

probably can eliminate the Crude from our worries, not sure about some of those other lurkers though?

The Cauncks are starting to take focus in our rear view mirror a bit too....Bravo notching 6 of 6 points in this home stand. Give 'em hell in St. Paul!

After watching the final Rocket From the Crypt show dvd, I feel like posting another rock-related blog, but I'm too sleepy. Just looking forward to Speedo's new band (Night Marchers) appearing at the Larimer Lounge in May (2nd)!!

Got my Sturdy Wrists!

Holy crap! I can't believe you guys stayed up this long. I must have passed out around 11:45.
If I had known that Sonic Tooth was up this late I should have acted on my impulse. You see... on the way over to the game from the bar I told Mrs. Sonic Tooth that we should go and buy a bunch of glow sticks and pacifiers, sneak into Sonic Tooth's bedroom and start a mini rave complete with super bass electro sounds. I decided that this was not a good idea when I heard about Sonic Tooth Juniorette was in the Casa.
Know this Senor Tooth. The next time we get Mrs. Tooth out on the town you can expect to wake up to a bunch of glow crap and some really shitty music.

Wow - that sounds like my house last night at 2 am. Except substitute the glow sticks for RFTC dvds and the techno with punk rock.

yo steve, i heard about your devious plot of latenight rampage.

thanks again for the ticket outlay to Mrs. ST...she was on the brink of going a whole season w/o attending a hockey game, until last night.

Best hockey game I've ever watched at Swanky's... probably the one one too.

Respect going 3 for 3 in the shootout. Shit, we should have our eyes on the #3 spot... believe it.

Who is this retracting author?!??!

How 'bout MY Nuggets!?!?!?

Beat Ryan 2012 said...

Twas I. I must say that the name thing is quite good. You could even interchange names to create new combos. Deathtrout, Sonic Death Truck, Trouttruck, Death Dog, Sonic Dog... it goes on and on. Although I do think that the Sonic Youth/Tooth thing is very ingenious as well. Maybe Death Truck is really Death Truck for Cutie or whatever the name of that band is.
I think that the Nuggets are going nowhere. Maybe you haven't heard about the curse on the Nuggets? There is a new curse similar to the Curse of the Bambino. It's called the curse of the Mutumbo. It may also be called the curse of the Bickerstaff. They are interchangeable.

Curse of the Sonic Dog to Hold?

Sonic Death Temple of the Troutdog?

The Nuggets also have no Japanese players, so they're screwed too.

I completely forgot about that stat. Let's face the facts, shall we?
2005 White Sox- Shingo Takatsu
2006 Cardinals- So Taguchi
2007 Red Sox- Daisuke Matsuzaka AND Hideki Okajima

What do you think about that round eye?

You don't need to convince me...it stung when Kaz left. We're hoping the purple thong will carry us on the asian front!

Sonic Tooth said...

...yes the Nuggets are screwed. nice 2nd half there fucktards.
