Stating the obvious, obvi, but t'was great to see this suit get pulled before the end of the 2nd period. ST and TD get their little jinx ended, which I assume will be followed up by a full report. I'm sure they both had a great time at the game, but maybe not as much fun as I had at a kickass avs party... which coincidentally was at TD's pad: some high definition, a couple of pooches, and some HLLs (I owe you some beers).Anywho, that was a huge win against a team that is also fighting to keep their postseason hopes alive. Everyone contributing, and props to our checkers. Guiete and McLeod both with goals, and Lappy practically killing that one penalty all by himself. And of course, a big game by The Duke as well. On a side note, as Mike and Peter kept on mentioning during the game, Dallas sucks now, so the Northwest teams could eliminate the Stars before the playoffs even start. (huh? whammy?)

Seriously, an awesome game indeed. However, I was a bit dismayed to come home to find my house trashed with Kirkland empties and covered in burgandy and blue silly string. I'll assume the Inspector is responsible for that.
As far as the game goes, got to give a hand to Coach Q for juggling the lines for the 2nd period. Constructing the line of Stastny, Hejduk, and Forsberg was the difference. The combo combined for freaking 9 points. Props to McCloud and Guite as well. Someone else needs to pitch in, and the rest of the team certainly did their part. As I mentioned to ST, Jordon Leopold can't shoulder the entire scoring burden. Super Joe and Smyth are waiting to break out, trust me.
Bucking the jinx feels good. Might have to continue this trend from the club level on Friday....whammy?!?!

Don't want to get too far ahead of myself (a shitty stretch could make this prognostifuckation moot) but, the Avs I think need to seriously worry about avoiding being the 8 seed and meeting the Fucking Red Wings (since they've had our number all year, and may consider reawkening in a huge way come playoff time) and even transcending the 7 seed to avoid the hot-shit Sharks.
I don't know...dreaming big ain't such a bad thing.

I agree that we should aim for a seed higher than 7. Probably too much to expect to claim the Division at this point. I would like a 3-6 matchup against either the Wild or Flames.
Wait, we better worry about making the playoffs first.....
Luongo is really hating life these past couple days. Nothing like getting yanked in consecutive games when your team is in the thick of securing a playoff position. See ya.
