Looks Like I'll Have to Record American Gladiators

Damn, there are some good options on the tube tonight. The Avs and (suddenly league elite) Coyotes are already under way and the action is high-flying. Still no score, but with the barrage of shots going on, that can't last long. Budaj is still in goal tonight, but it sounds like Theo may be back soon. (I guess this is officially something to look forward to, considering his play before his back totally spazzed out.)

Second on the bill is a key matchup between AI and the Nuggets and, hmmm(?), whahhh(?), somebody must be sort of good on the Blazers. Shows what I know about the nba - can't even name a single player (I'm pretty sure the Arvydas Sabonis days are long gone), except that injured rookie Greg Odem. Anyhoo, should be a compelling game to watch if the Nuggets decide to show up, which is always a crapshoot.

Lastly, the final 8 of American Gladiators is on right now. I've got my DV-R rolling and will probably have to wait until later this week to watch. I wonder if Larry Csonka has sobered up enough to tune in after last night's super bowl upset and his '72 Dolphins celebration.......

Lappy!!! Gotta love seeing him score. Let's hope that lights a spark.

I get on the blog to post my own American Gladiator post, but see TD beet me to it. I was planning on finding a Wolf picture instead of Csonka; either one works well. Has everyone caught AG Playoff fever? I guess I'll not blog about the results of the first semifinal matchups, but let's just say someone whipped The Eliminator a new asshole. What a great time to be a sports fan!

Nugs already dominating (sorry for the jinx), and the Avs appear to be in a dogfight here as the 3rd period gets underway.

And since there was no Super Bowl post: "Face New England". Serves you right for being such lame baseball fans.

Funny, I was also looking for a Wolf pic, but the search wasn't too fruitful. The Csonka one seemed very timely.

C'mon that replayed goal better count!!

Fuckin' ex-Avs on the Yotes always killing us!! Damn, you Vrbata. Pretty foolish looking face off sequence for the Avs on that tying goal.

Well, we get at least a point out of this. Let's get 2 in OT now, boys!!

Damn Cyotes, fuckin up my picks.

yeah, i'd say we are officially at the point of "looking forward" to Jose's return. Budaj looks shaky. Didn't get any favors on that faceoff for sure...and that overtime goal was fluky, but he's not instilling much confidence when I watch.

what is this American Gladiators that you speak of? sounds violent.

DT, missed you in the halls of CIRES today.

That was a brutal OT hand-shot goal. F-that noise. I agree that Theo is preferrable at this point.

Now the Nug Pups in OT. Maybe Melo shouldn't have asked for that T with a few minutes left. If there are 2 OT losses, I'm going to wish I watched American Gladitors tonight.

ST, I assume you weren't hanging out in the W-2nd level region of CIRES (the not-so-new region of the building), but I'll probably be fartin around tomrrow in W225 if you're in the area.

Nugs get a huge win, even without the big man, which in an avs analogy would be like without super joe.... kind of.

AI is pretty awesome......I never did hear why/how long Camby is out.

naw, I was straight hanging out on the third floor in the CIRES auditorium.

Solid CD indeed. It was getting a lot of play time when I first got it as well (and still gets a little shuffle love from my ipod from time to time)... actually a SC Streetlight purchase.
