Despite being down 0-3 in this series (the world series), let's not hang our heads too low (Tulo?). Even some of us hardcore fans didn't expect to make it this far. There were countless times that myself or TroutDog uttered the same dry joke after a Rockies loss: "Well, I don't think the Rockies are going to win the World Series this year." Still not true and not finalized yet.
I plan on saboring this next game (and hopefully the next few games), because hell, it's been quite a fun ride this year.
Come on Super Rockies!!!!

Let me buy you a Heinny!!
Sweet pic there. Here's to a Rox victory tonight!
By the way, DeathTruck, the PBR Lights aren't going to drink themseleves. Where the hell are you?
C'mon Super Cook!!
....jeez. Atkins is not money.
to quote the young IVE.
"Let's Go Rockies!"
well well. another lead off hit, another slew of no-RBI at bats.
No shit, and again not doing anything offensively after some solid innings from our starter.
We're due for a Das Boot-esque rally!!!
NOT DOING ANYTHING OFFENSIVELY...
approaching a rather embarassing end to the first trip to the World Series by the Rox. what a waste.
props to Cook for a pretty darn good outing. I thought his start might be the problem for game 4...but hard to argue that. he's looked sharp.
right up until that Lowell homerun a few seconds ago. shit.
most of the Sox lineup has stepped up during these 4 games, can't say the same for the Rockies.
these 4 games, starting pretty much with the second pitch of game 1 have been very unfun to watch. Holiday's HR last night was a bright spot, but this has for the most part sucked unbelievably.
Thanks Fuentes for that solo shot in the 8th. Not looming very large, now that G-Dawg tagged a two run dong.
C'mon Super Spilly!!
Fucking Atkins, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Buck is sick. Sick in the head. Totally praising the Sox and their homegrown talent here in the top of the 9th, as Corpas mows down every batter.
Yeah, the Sox homegrown talent plus the second highest payroll in baseball.
I realize it ain't fun to talk about the Rockies as a sweep is looming, but think about a big chunk of your audience tonight..."Rockies fans" who put up with shit-ownership unwilling to spend money, who thankfully have a good farm system to feed the club, and produce "miracle" runs like this year.
whatever, it was annoying to hear Buck and it smacked of bullshit hysteria-based announcing, as the WS is coming to a close.
damn. Carroll gave that a ride. got to think Manny might have had issues with that against the wall...
shit. Seth Smith Magic can't keep it alive....
getting swept sucks.
nice ride kids.
No shit. Thank god I don't have to hear Buck's sick ass or McCarver's moronic ass for another few months... although I guess the Rockies will be scheduled for a few regular season games next year. Fucking JC almost tied that shit up!!! The last 3 games were at least competitive.
On an almost final note, we need to trade Fuentes while he still has maket value.
War winning pennants. whammy?
On kind of a gay note: Thanks for making give a shit in October Rocks.
still has trade value? that would mean we should have traded Fuentes before the World Series.
or if you want to be more critical-before the Blown Save Road Trip back in the middle of the season.
whatever, giving up that jack to A's midseason castoff, Bobby Kielty, was pretty deplorable. this game should be tied with the Rockies coming back in the bottom of the 10th to win the game, and then they come back and win the Series in 7. maybe I'm stretching...
but did you see Kielty in the dugout? He was positively freaked out that he homered. Urinated himself, and had to get a fresh pair of pants, he was so blown away.
If JC's 9th inning blast doesn't leave the yard, it was at least a double. Nice fucking play Jacoby. The Sox came up pretty huge defensively all series. Got to tip your cap....Fuck-heads.
It is a silver lining that we don't have to listen to McCarver any more.
The breaking news about A-Rod was fucking out of control too.
Bottom line is that the Rox had to play above their ability and have some breaks go their way to take down the Sawkks. Neither happened.
Another silver lining, Nik and I were looking through a bunch of my old baseball cards and I found two old Super Gallego cards, which will soon be featured on my fridge.
Very dissappointing ending to an otherwise very memorable season. Thanks 2007 Rockies! I look forward to being at Coors when the NL Pennant is raised.
When do pitchers and catchers report?
