The Broncos Defense

Umm, our defense looks horrible. That well-executed bomb from Favre is not what has me concerned. It's the fact that we cannot stop anyone rushing the ball. We're still in this game, but if adjustments aren't made at halftime, this is going to get ugly.

umm. what's with that playcalling down at the end of regulation? ok, let's settle for a field goal and send this sucker into overtime.
great.
Dre Bly was just flat burned on that bomb on the first play in OT.
weak.

And maybe the bomb does concern me.

Got to go for the win at the end. Obviously, the quarterback draw fooled nobody.

Maybe going on the road will be good for this team. 2-3 at home isn't a stellar mark.

Giving up one terrible turnover and getting ZERO turnovers isn't going to cut it for this team. The margin of error is razor thin.......work in progress.

This just in...Brett Favre has still not been touched by a Bronco defensive lineman. Dre, your jock strap is back on the 25!!

That flukey fumble and the phantom hold call on Selvin's big play down the sideline were pretty huge...coulda won this game.

hey troutdog. do you have the second ticket to Sat's AVs/Canucks game?

Did we really only score 13 points the way we were moving the ball? Seems to be a common theme. Lots of yards, very few points, and bad turnover ratio (with the exception of the Steeler game).

Those were some pretty bad breaks that cost at least 10, if not 14 points. Still, gotta let Cutler throw on that last play.......get him out of the pocket at sling it into the end zone. The kid had a pretty good game.

I'm going to the Penns game on Thurs. Maybe I am going Sat too. I'll have to check.

One of the announcers said it, and I agree. The play where Kuper knocked the snap out of Cutler's hand is a microcosm of our season. We drive down the field with relative ease, and we can't score due to a freak turnover or bad play calling in the red zone.

I also agree that we needed to go for the win at the end of regulation.

How can we hold GB to 13 points in regulation and still lose!?! We should have won this game at 4 different points and we just can't get it done.

I could go on and on about this game but I'll try to keep it breif:

1. Penalties are lame and disrupt the flow of the game.

2. The Broncs run D is horrid. They can't play into the strengths of their D (pass rush and good secondary) if they can't force 2nd and 3rd and longs. The Pack hasn't run on anyone all season...

3. Shanny is too in love with the bootleg package. It seems to work very well, however I think they aren't taking full advantage of Cutler's arm in this package. With Marshall, Stokley, and their stable of TE's they could really attack D's by spreading things out more often. A little less bootleg and a little more spread.

4. They need to attack the endzone down in the red zone and not wait until they are inside the 5 yard line.

5. Broncs fans at that game should be greatful of the outcome in the long run. I'm sure witnessing #4 at age 38 throw an 82 yard TD pass on the first play of OT will be a pretty nice story in years to come.

6. Feel free to take care of the Lions next week.

I have a feeling Tatum Bell is just drooling this week!!!

He'd be drooling if ol' # 26 ever got to play.

Hasn't even entered a game the last three weeks.

I was thinking that the one good thing about the Rox getting swept was that I sold my tickets to this game, since I was supposed to go to Game 5. Not sure I would've appreciated the Favre-ness of the moment in OT last night after getting my heart broken the previous night in the Series. But it's true that in the long run, it may have been a good story.

The amount of penalties was ridic. Some were deserved, but some should've been let go. Obviously, the holding call on Marshall sticks out to Broncos fans. But I would also agree in general too many calls, even the ones that were beneficial to the Broncos.
