At 'a boy Kazmat!

I think the title of the post says it all; that was a huge grand slam. And that might have taken the spirit right out of this city of brotherly love. I like the move in going with Fogg (let the nerdy puns begin). I've said it for years Hurdle's a genius.
No jinx... no jinx.

10-4!
KazMat now a single away from hitting for the cycle....
and more importantly the Rox 3 innings away from a 2-0 lead coming into Coors.

...no jinx, no jinx.

Hey - Why not more noise in these parts?!?!! I know I was at a bar with some of you watching this gem and playing softball right after the game with others, but we're up 2-0 coming back to Denver, let's turn this shit up!!!!

If you would've told me this was going to happen two weeks ago, I probably would've said, "Sure, sure it is, Mrs. Hurdle, and Jorge Julio is clutch", but this shit is actually happening! (By the way, I think I heard one of those TBS broadcasters call him Julio Jorge - likely not from west of the Mississippi.)

How about that outing by Joe Table?!?! Classic!!!

Can hardly wait unit Sat night. I think I might actually own a purple turtleneck.

Kaz was huge yesterday indeed. This team is so dangerous because we aren't relying on just a fwe players, everyone is contributing. Helton goes 0-4... not problem... Hawpe has a bad day... Tulo/Yorvit/Kaz will pick up the slack. Such a team effort. Don't know what I'm more excited about, this postseason or the next few years of watching this outstanding young team.

Captain, how about the endless potential of a certain softball team? We need to have more people start showing up to games in a state of "Corey." Mayoss, myself, and others with youngins often in tow should not be a part of this initiative, though.

I was just at the mall looking for another Rockies lid at Lids. Store manager said, "Can I help you?" I said, "it doesn't appear you carry playoff team gear!" He then tried to get me to order a hat. I said "no I'll get one from a store in Denver since you only carry these gems", quickly pointing out the wide selection of mesh beer brand name hats next to the all black UH collection! Don't ever confuse this town with a sports town! Get the brooms out tomorrow night boys!!!

Speaking of Corey, I have heard he's questioning how he's ever going to show up his face next week. While his non-crisp play in LF probably cost a run or two one inning, it was high time someone showed up hammered for a game. And it was for a good cause - ditching work to pound beers, drink whiskey, and watch the rox...

RE: Das Boot
"non-crisp play" that's one nice way to spin it....ahhhh who cares. it was the first time in a season and a half that someone was visibly shitfaced on the diamond. i'm surprised actually. and it was for a good cause.

RE: Rockies
the Deadspin live blogger during the game yesterday joked that when Jose Mesa took the mound that to make things fair, the Rockies should have had to have Jorge Julio on the roster and pitch him as well.
anybody got any spare purple turtlenecks? ...did I just type that?

It would be sweet if we all had matching purple turtlenecks and could orchestrate some sort of U-O / Rockies costume.
