The weekend that was....

Nuggets overcome a horrendous night from J.R. Smith to win on Friday night.

Nuggets enjoy a fabulous night from J.R. Smith to win on Saturday night.

Avs play some inspired offense and some lackluster defense (think Andy was getting tired of shots on goal much during this game?) to get 2 points in Dallas.

And the Broncos trade for Brady Quinn (Bret Michaels was a throw-in on this deal). Weird. Got to think about that one for a bit.

The Brady Quinn acquisition took me by surprise too. Not a huge risk and if it means Chris Siumms isn't going to play another game, that's probably a good thing.

A pretty fine weekend overall. Listened to a good amount of the Avs game yesterday on the radio. Sounded very exciting. The Mose is kinda like the Jeff Kingery of hockey, as I was expecting a goal everytime anyone came close to scoring. Saw the last 10 mins on TV. McNabb and Haynes getting their Andy mancrush on....deservedly so when you face 50 shots and the team wins.

By the way, who is going to be the B'cos kickoff returner, now that Hillis is gone?

the mancrush was especially noticable in that last 10 minutes.

Stasny's kind of been dishin em lately.

At first glance, I like the trade very much. Getting a guy who was highly regarded, has all the physical skills and is already very familiar with the McD/Weiss offense. Fits the mold.

Speaking of the Avs, I was all fired up for some needed Sunday hockey action on FSSW only to find out at game time the programming was wrong! I have already tried to switch providers to at least get Versus for the playoff run.

Good thinking Riggins. These last two wins were especially impressive considering the Avs completely shit the bed against the Canucks in their prior game. Resilliance.......

I hear Quinn has a strong arm. I'm guessing that chick in the photo agrees, although she don't look too impressed....
