A Scrappy Point

That's a game that seemed pretty lost with only a minute left...but Duchey and TJ wanted to tally at least a point. Awesome empty net work, and a really resilient look for the Avs.

Andy didn't look too good throughout...but sometimes the O will pick you up. Also, sometimes Footer won't stand for a cheap goalie interference/injury-inducer (damn, that Ballard fucker sure hates goalies). Loved Foote's instant "smell the glove" shots at Ballard.
2 points would be preferred, and the Avs seem to be a team that "settles" quite a bit lately for the OTL...but the simple fact that they did get one point, and remain relevant is worthwhile, and that was pretty damn exciting there at the end...

That qualifies as a "good" one point. Amazing finish and yes, Footers beat-down of Ballard was awesome. Too bad DT threw in the towel and was walking the Inspector during that last minute.

Good to see the kid Duchey getting his offense going. We sure do suck at shoot-outs. I loved Wolski's backwards shot.

As good as that game was to watch, I have to say the best part may have been the new shiner McNab proudly had on display. Was the dude playing some drop-in down in FL on their day off? Looks like he forgot to take off his halloween costume.

Saw the score on the ticker with 5 minutes to go and then the final. Was pleasantly surprised. My hockey viewing is quite minimal due to Versus being pulled from Directv, neff! Love me some NHL network though. I will be acceptin some minor league action with the Aeros in a couple weeks!

Shit. I totally forgot to mention McNab's shiner....

Yeah. No Versus is a downside of DirecTV. But NHL network in HD is a real plus.

I admit to bailing during regulation... I had to get my Scrubs on.

That intent to blow the whistle rule is so stupid.
